A Slow Leak

While on vacation in Duluth earlier this month, a warning light lit up my car's dashboard, and so we pulled into a gas station.  The warning light was for low tire pressure.

As Long as I Live

Over the years I have used many different devotional books.  Some have been better than others.   There is certainly no shortage of ones to choose from. 

Increasingly, I am drawn to the Psalms.   This devotional book is ancient.  Some of the Psalms are three thousand years old.  One goes all the way back to the days of Moses (see Psalm 90).

Needed: A Sense of Humor

Warren Wierbse tells the following story in his book On Being a Servant of God

During my seminary days, I got acquainted with Noel O. Lyons, who was then the executive director of Greater Europe Mission (GEM).  Noel kept contact with me and my wife after we graduated and did his best to enlist us as missionaries to Germany.  He was very persuasive, but the Lord had other plans for us.

Good News: Easter is Just Getting Started

For the world, Easter has come and gone.  For the world, Easter is at best a single day on the calendar.  But this is not the case for the Church.  For the Church, Easter is just getting started.  For the Church, Easter is an entire season lasting 50 days.
